LOOGOOTEE – A Loogootee man was arrested Thursday on charges of child molestation.
Anson Wagler, 27, was arrested by officers with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and charged with child molestation and child molestation of a child under the age of 14.
According to police, the charges against Wagler stem from events that took place on or between July 1, 2014, and Feb. 26, 2016. The probable cause affidavit has been sealed.
According to court documents, Wagler was arrested in September on sexual battery charges on an elderly person. That incident happened in Martin County those court documents are also sealed.
Wagler was being held in the Daviess County Security Center on a $100,000 bond with 10 percent allowed but has since bounded out.
A jury trial is scheduled for April 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. in Daviess County Superior Court.
