SOLSBERRY – One person was killed in a Greene County fire.
According to the Beech Creek Township Fire Department, the fire was reported at 11:36 p.m. on Friday, December 23 at Mcville Road and Pate Lane, northwest of Solsberry.
Responding firefighters reported the structure was engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.
Also responded to battle the blaze were firefighters from Center Jackson Fire Territory and Clay Township Volunteer Fire Department.
As a result of the fire, one individual was pronounced deceased by the Greene County Coroner. No identity has been released at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation with the State Fire Marshall’s Office investigating.
