Emma Jane Sowders, 88, of Greenwood, IN, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2023, at 1 a.m.
She was blessed with a large and loving family. She was born on August 25, 1934, in Lawrence County to Archie Thomas and Zetta Mae Brown.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Archie Thomas and Zetta Mae Brown, and her two brothers
Bobby Brown and Charles Bud Brown, husband Lovell Sowders Sr., son Phillip D Evans, stepson Danny
Sowders, stepdaughter Betty Sowders.
Survived by her two daughters, Trudy Holtsclaw, and Christie Sowders, stepson Lovell Sowders Jr., three
stepdaughters, Shirley Ray, Carole Andis, and Kaye Kelly, sister Georgia Roberts, and many grandkids and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, February 20, 2023, at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford. Kenny
Waldon will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral and graveside services
immediately follow. A small lunch will be provided for the family and friends at the funeral home
after the graveside service.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
