BEDFORD – A Springville woman was arrested at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th after she crashed her vehicle on Tunnelton Road near Old Buddha Road and police found her intoxicated.

When an Indiana State Police trooper arrived on the scene they found a 1998 black Dodge Durango with heavy front end damage and a flat tire on the driver’s side.

Tayler Rasor

The trooper spoke to 21-year-old Tayler Rasor, of Springville, who admitted she had been drinking prior to the accident. She also admitted she had struck a fence and continued to drive.

She said she attempted to find a place to turn around and go back to the original accident scene, but police say she didn’t stop or contact the police and then struck a mailbox before stopping.

She blew a 0.151 on a portable breath test at the scene. Rasor declined medical treatment.

Rasor was given three standard field sobriety tests at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office which she failed.  She was then given a certified breath test at the station and tested 0.141. She was then transported to IU Health Hospital for a medical evaluation due to her level of intoxication and was medically cleared. Rasor was transported to jail on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
