BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Community Foundation is now accepting online applications for the 2023 Open Grant Cycle. There will be $90,000 available for Boost and Impact Grants funding charitable programs and projects that serve the residents of Lawrence County. An additional $37,000 is available for programs and projects that benefit specific causes such as parks, disadvantaged children, and senior citizens.
The 2022 Open Grant Cycle awarded thirty-three grants totaling $107,743 to Lawrence County groups and agencies including Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services, BNL Band & Music Boosters, Men’s Warming Shelter, White River Humane Society, and Southern Indiana Adult Guardian Services.
The 2023 cycle is funded by the Larry & Judy Sipes Community Fund, Joe & Sharon Collins Community Fund, Ferguson Community Fund, Sargent Family Fund, Dollens Fund, David Allen Jacobs Community Fund, Bob Bridge Fund, Paul and Patty Ford Community Fund, Jim & Annette Seib Community Fund, William A. Poling Fund for Lawrence County, Brett Terry Community Fund, Jo Ellen (Alhorn) Lee Community Fund, Earlyn & Alvera Burkhart Hill and Orlin & Imogene Burkett Memorial Fund, Ralph W. “Shorty” & Bette Robison Fund, Smithville Charitable Foundation Fund for Lawrence County, Harold “Mac” & Shirley McReynolds Fund for Lawrence County, Bedford Federal Savings Bank Community Fund, Hoosier Hills Credit Union Better for Our Communities Fund, Bicentennial Fund, Patrick & Sharon Robbins Fund, Chloral Hilderbrand Community Grants Fund, and the German American Bancorp Fund.

First-time grant-seekers must register and be approved to apply. Applications must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. on April 17, 2023, to be considered for funding.
Non-profit organizations recognized by the IRS as having 501(c)(3) status, educational institutions, and governmental entities are eligible to apply.
