Thousands attended the 2023 Women’s Expo on Saturday

BEDFORD – The 2023 Women’s Expo, hosted by Southern Indiana Classic Hits WQRK 105.5, LiteFM 102.5, and WBIW 1340, took place on Saturday, bringing thousands in to the Lawrence County Boys and Girls Club to visit the various booths and shop local vendors.

Crowds filled the gymnasiums at the Lawrence County Boys and Girls Club on Saturday to shop at the 2023 Women’s Expo

Over 60 vendors, including apparel, makeup, food and drink sellers, were set up throughout the two gymnasiums at the facility.

Some specific vendors were the target of interest from certain attendees.

“I’m interested in Fit Chix and taking the bungee exercise class,” said Tammy Dwyer, one of those in attendance.

“I’m here for Hoover’s Candy,” fellow attendee Cindy Seigle added.

Others couldn’t name a specific booth or vendor that caught their eye, choosing to cite the entire event as their favorite.

“I’m interested in all of it,” said Sandy Snyder.

“I love it all,” echoed Sheila Anderson, who was in attendance with Snyder.

Those at the expo had the opportunity to enjoy free samples of products, take home free items from booths and enter giveaways throughout the afternoon for cash prizes and Lady Luck Bucks, a currency good to spend at any of the event’s booths.

“This is my first year. I went to Louisville’s last year and very disappointed. This is the bomb,” said Edna Shelby. “It’s great. The food, I’ve got my bag full of free gifts. I mean, we’ve signed up for everything. It’s great,” she continued said.

There was a little bit of everything at the expo. From lemon shakeups to wine smoothies, barbeque to sub sandwiches, cookies to candy, apparel to home décor, even canoes and a giant, inflatable brain. There was a vendor for everyone at any age.
