WASHINGTON – The United Way of Daviess County announced it has secured a $20,000 grant for the development of an All-Inclusive Playground at Long Fellow Park in Washington.
The funds will go to Comforting Hearts to be used as a matching grant to double the gift.
Comforting Hearts is now two-thirds of the way to meeting its $450,000 goal to construct the playground.
Comforting Heart’s mission is to enable children and adults with differing abilities to be as independent as possible including all life-enhancing experiences like enjoying outdoor play on a playground.
