BEDFORD – Lawrence County Treasurer Jody Edwards reports Property Tax Statements were mailed today, Monday, April 3rd.
The spring installment will be due May 10, 2023.
The Treasurer’s Office will be open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 for those who would like to pay taxes in person.
The office will be closed on Friday, April 7th in observance of Good Friday and Tuesday, May 2nd for Election Day.
While not required, bringing your tax statements when you pay your taxes will provide a speedier process. The office will accept cash, checks, or money orders. You may pay by credit or debit by calling the toll-free number below or using the tax payment website. Current tax and credit card payment information may be found online here.
Credit and debit card payments are not accepted in the office.
Questions regarding your assessed value and available appeal options for this tax year or next tax year should be directed to the Assessor’s Office at 812-275- 5405. Questions regarding property tax deductions and tax bill calculations should be directed to the Auditor’s Office at 812-275-3111. Questions regarding your property tax bill should be directed to the Treasurer’s Office at 812-275-2431.

You also have the option of using the payment drop boxes which will be located outside of the Treasurer’s office door. Remember that if you choose to come to the office, you will need to go through the security screening.
If you choose to use the drop box option, please place your payment coupon along with your payment in an envelope, along with contact information in case officials need to contact you.
