VALPARAISO – Following an extensive investigation by detectives with the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post, a Valparaiso man was arrested for child exploitation.
Detectives were made aware of possible criminal activity that took place on a video chat website through a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C). The investigation led detectives to an address located in Valparaiso, as well as other identifying information that was particular to the suspect.
On April 3, detectives met with the suspect, 38-year-old Ismael Perez Sanchez, of Valparaiso, and interviewed him about a file that he had obtained from a website that he had visited. Sanchez is also alleged to have performed a sex act while a minor was viewing his webcam. As a result of that interview, Sanchez was arrested and transported to the Porter County Jail on charges of child exploitation, and public nudity.
