PAOLI – Mitchell High School traveled to Paoli on Tuesday to take on Springs Valley and Paoli in the three-team meet, which saw the Bluejackets take third place in both boys and girls.
For Boys, Mitchell finished with 29 points, putting them just behind Paoli in second with 31 points. Springs Valley took first handily, finishing with 91.
Bluejackets’ sprinter Adam Oster took first place in the 400m, with a time of 53.58 seconds.
Gavin Robinson earned two second place spots in the event, one in high jump where he reached 5’9″, the other in the 200m, where he finished with a time of 24.25. Nate Robertson took second place for Mitchell in discus, with a distance of 130′ 11″. Lucas Miller took second place in the 300m hurdle, with a finish time of 48.53.
For Girls, Mitchell also finished in third place, scoring 37 points, once again just behind Paoli’s 39. Springs Valley took first place with 91.
Bluejackets’ runner Zoey Smith took first place for Mitchell in the 800m, finishing with a time of 2:32.
The Bluejackets also came away with a first place finish in long jump behind Jorja Lamm’s top distance of 14′ 9″. Smith also earned second place in the 100m with a final time of 13.51.
Mitchell’s Jennifer Guevara took second in the 1600m with a final time of 6:46, as well as the 400m, where she finished with a time of 1:09. Allison Hudson also earned two second-place finishes, one in the 300 m hurdle where she finished at 57.34, the other in 100m hurdle where she ended with a time of 19.42.
