BEDFORD – A Bedford woman is facing charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after Bedford Police officers responded to a home at 608 22nd Street on Friday, April 14th at 10:43 p.m.
The caller reported 45-year-old Shannon Rishforth was in his backyard damaging property and screaming.
When police arrived they found Rishforth in the neighboring property still screaming.
Officers told Rishforth to calm down and stop screaming. But she continued screaming.
Rishforth was then detained.
The homeowners who called the police reported they found Rishforth in their backyard and asked her to leave. About an hour later they heard what they thought were fireworks and found Rishforth damaging their enclosed trailer with a hammer and stick. She had damaged the sides and broken the taillight. There was also damage to the rear and front of the trailer. Damage was also located on the rear driver’s side fender of the caller’s black 2006 Ford F-250. Rishforth had also pulled down a wooden rack that was next to the caller’s garage.
A neighbor reported seeing Rishforth with the hammer.
Rishforth denied causing the damage.
