BEDFORD – Movement Mortgage in Bedford, Indiana had the opportunity to present Agape Kids House of Lawrence County with a $10,000 GraceWorks grant to support their mission to “promote the well-being of children through safe environments while increasing community awareness and support of foster care.”
Agape Kids House is located in Bedford, and services children in Lawrence, Orange, and Monroe Counties.
Their purpose is to provide a safe and supportive temporary placement in Lawrence County for children awaiting suitable long-term housing.
Their vision is to be a beacon of hope in Southern Indiana for children and youth impacted by neglect, abuse, and family hardship.
Their mission is to promote the well-being of children through safe environments while increasing community awareness and support of foster care.
GraceWorks grants are made possible by the partnership between Karis AMC and Movement Mortgage. Movement employees nominate local nonprofits to receive a $10,000 grant from the KM Foundation. In the first quarter of 2023, Movement and Karis AMC have given away $1,000,000 in GraceWorks grants to nonprofits across the country.
How are GraceWorks grants made possible? The Movement has no investors, so there is the freedom to use up to 45% of the company profits in communities around the country and the world via the Movement Foundation.
The Movement has also taken the initiative to partner with other companies with like-minded goals, like Karis Management Group. Karis Management Group, one of the appraisal management groups that is utilized by Movement Mortgage during the mortgage process, has a unique mission.
“Our mission extends way beyond offering efficient valuation services, it’s also about the reward of generously giving back to the community,“ said Dana Wade, Loan officer at Movement Mortgage Bedford. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” That’s why 99% of our profits are designated for giving as we fulfill our desire to serve innovative non-profits around the world.”
“We feel extremely privileged to be a part of something that will directly impact those in our community, especially kids who are in need,” added Wade. “We pinch ourselves every day because we can’t believe we get to work for Movement – it’s such an amazing company, and we are so glad we get to introduce it to the communities around us. Receiving the news that our nomination of Agape Kids House was chosen and being able to present the check has been more than humbling.”
