Women hospitalized after crash in Washington County

WASHINGTON CO. – On May 30, at approximately 7:46 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Voyles Road, near Mann Road, in reference to a single motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Trinity Goodson, age 21 of Pekin, was traveling north on Voyles Road in a gray Mercury Sable, when she ran off the east side of the roadway and overcorrected, causing her to lose control of her vehicle.

Goodson’s vehicle then traveled across Voyles Road and struck a tree on the west side of the roadway. Goodson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Goodson was transported by the Washington County Ambulance Service to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Deputy Hailee Lopotosky is the investigating officer and she was assisted by Deputies Dustin Pridemore, Lt. Wayne Blevins, members of the Pierce/Polk Volunteer Fire Department, and members of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department.
