BEDFORD – Superior STEAM is a year-long youth development program through the Lawrence County Purdue 4-H Extension Office. Their goal is to inspire and teach the next generation of scientists, artists, engineers, innovators, and leaders, and now youth from around the county can get a small taste of what this great program does through the three upcoming events in July.
Yard Sale Fundraiser Event
On July 1st from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. the 4-H Club Superior STEAM will host a yard sale at the Sandy and Danny Daugherty Center for STEAM Excellence at 1301 I Street in Bedford. The funds raised will be used to cover costs for student and team registration, tools, and supplies.
Superior STEAM is free to join and does not pass costs onto members. Therefore, the club relies on fundraising through working at IU Concessions, grants, sponsorships, and other fundraisers such as this yard sale.
Demos of robots and other projects, as well as building tours, will be available during the yard sale.
Kids will be selling popcorn, soda, hot dogs, and popsicles.
Check out the event on Facebook.
STEAM Nights
Superior STEAM is hosting STEAM Nights that are open to anyone ages 6-18 years old. The student

Come learn, make, and play with world-class students in Lawrence County.
This year the STEAM Nights will be held on July 20th and July 21st from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Danny and Sandy Daugherty Center for STEAM Excellence at 1301 I Street in Bedford.
