BEDFORD – Lawrence County Sheriff Greg Day was not present during Tuesday’s morning commissioners’ meeting.
He and some of his staff were attending the annual sheriff’s conference.
Day reported there were 129 inmates this morning housed at the jail, of those 101 were males, 28 were females, 15 were Department of Correction holds, four were parole holds, and 16 were Level 6 felons.
He reported the Department of Corrections is far behind in picking up inmates.
