BLOOMINGTON – Resilience Productions is a Bloomington-based production company conceived by Bruce, De Vane, and Mitchell – three women who believe in the power of storytelling.
As an ensemble, they research, write, and produce live performances that are inspired by actual historical events. These productions intend to cultivate an awareness as much as to entertain. They depict the African American experience from hardships and struggles to triumphs and successes. Resilience is recognizing those bold men and women of African descent, ensuring their legacy will not be forgotten.
On August 8th, you will get to hear about their process of developing a stage performance, their independent projects, and their relationships with one another.
Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL), an affinity group of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, is a professional women’s group that empowers, inspires, and engages through mentorships, professional development, and community and is sure you will be inspired by this creative and entertaining ensemble.
The event is Tuesday, August 8th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Fountain Square Ballroom.
Registration is $35 for Chamber members and $40 for community members. To register to attend click here.
