BEDFORD – Wednesday, August 2, is just around the corner, and it brings a return to the classroom for Bedford North Lawrence High School students.
To make the transition from summer fun to education smoother, BNL will host Welcome Week from July 24 – July 31, including a special event, FRESHman START July 24 from 2-6 p.m.
Crafted specifically to help familiarize the incoming class of 2027 with school clubs, classrooms, and schedules, the event will help freshman navigate their new surroundings and feel at home.
BNL’s 2023 FRESHman START features:
- FREE pizza
- FREE BNL t-shirts for students
- Chromebook pick-up
- School photo opportunity
- Information about clubs, sports, and other activities
- The chance to meet teachers and staff before school begins
- Bus transportation to and from the event
BNL invites all students and parents to attend an orientation session at 1 pm or 6 pm on Monday, July 24th.
The student-only event will be from 2-6 p.m.
Students will receive their schedules, pick up textbooks, tour campus, and a variety of other welcome events. All orientation day tasks will be completed during the student event. If your freshman student is not registered, you can call the BNL Office at (812) 279-9756, or follow this link to register. If freshmen are unable to attend the FRESHman START, they are welcome to attend any other welcome day for schedules and tours.

- FRESHMAN ORIENTATION DAY – Monday, July 24th: Parent Sessions at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. FRESH START Student event from 2-6 p.m.
- SENIOR DAY – Tuesday, July 25th: 8.30 a.m. -3 p.m.
- JUNIOR DAY – Wednesday, July 26th: 8.30 a.m. -3 p.m.
- SOPHOMORE DAY – Thursday, July 27th: 8.30 a.m. -3 p.m.
- NEW TO NLCS DAY- Friday, July 28th: appointment only
- OPEN DAY – Monday, July 31st: 8.30-3 p.m.
