Ellen Jewell Moutardier, 71, of Bedford, passed away at 2:19 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 11, 1951, in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Curtis and Norma (Day) Brodhecker. She married Rickey Moutardier on August 29, 1970, and he survives. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Rickey, of Bedford; three sons, Ryan Moutardier and wife, Marci, of Mitchell, Curtis Moutardier and wife, Trisha, of Sellersburg, and Kenton Moutardier and wife, Kara, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Abby Moutardier, Jack Moutardier, Carly Moutardier, and Vincent Moutardier; two sisters, Sondra Gilley and husband, Roger, of Columbus, and Rebecca Nikirk and
husband, Reggie, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest sister, Susan Brodhecker.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26th at the Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
