Janice Kay Bridges, 81, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born January 31, 1942, in Needmore, she was the daughter of Odis and Louise (Goodman) Hollars. Kay married Lester Lee “Bud” Bridges on November 19, 1960, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2020.
Kay was a 1960 graduate of Needmore High School. She was a homemaker and member of the Bryantsville Homemaker Club. Kay was a member of the Huron Church of God.
Surviving are her children, Ron (Stephanie) Bridges of Mitchell, Sandra (Ben) Robbins of Mitchell, and Darren Bridges of Mitchell; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Moore, Erica (Chris) Collins, Molly (Taylor) Phillips, Macy Robbins, Kamryn Bridges, and Kenadi Bridges; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Peg (Ansel) Deckard of Bedford and Donna (Dennis) Maddox of Bedford.
Her husband; parents; son, Bryan Scott Bridges; and sister, Myrna Santure, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, at Green Hill Cemetery with Curt Deckard officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the cemetery.
