OWEN CO. – The Owen County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 26-year-old Shelby L. Melton was found deceased inside a vehicle that was off a roadway Sunday evening.
The sheriff’s office did not confirm where the vehicle was located.
Melton was pronounced deceased by responding emergency personnel. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
The Owen County Sheriff’s Department requested the public’s in locating Melton after she was last seen Saturday morning driving her blue 2014 Chevrolet Sonic in Owen County.
