Robert “Bob” Jay Norman, of Heltonville, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Seton Hospital.
Bob was born October 25, 1964, in Bedford, Indiana, to R. Frederick and Sarah L. Bailey Norman.
Bob was a machine and tool operator working at Precision Products in Greenwood, IN, and then at Cook in Bloomington, IN. Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting up at the farm, listening to all genres of music, and spending time with his friends, especially his lifelong childhood friend, Scott Fleetwood.
Bob is survived by his parents of Heltonville; a sister Kathy Norman and brother Jeff Norman, both of Bedford; sister Shelley Smith of Heltonville. Nephews Nate (Lauren) Norman of Kentucky, Nick (Heather) Arthur of McGuire AFB, Medford, NJ, Joe (Jamie) of Bedford; Nieces Jessica (D.J.) Mackie of Bloomington, Maggie Bell, Ocoee, FL, and Hillary (Eli) Deckard of Bedford. Several great-nieces & nephews. And his best buddy, his golden retriever, Cooper.
Bob was proceeded in death by his brother Greg Norman, niece Jennifer Everage, and both sets of grandparents, Roy and Lola Axsom Norrman and Elmer and Sylvia Bailey George.
Bob was a Freemason. He was an organ donor and his corneas were accepted for donation.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, August 5th at noon at the Donica Memorial Fellowship Hall at 1969 Donica Church Rd., Bedford, IN 47421.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Theresa Travis for her years of care for Bob and the Bedford Fresenius Dialysis Team for their care and the patience they showed in all the setbacks with his devices for dialysis.
