BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested on Tuesday after Bedford Police officers responded to 222 M Street after a report domestic fight.
When police arrived they learned the male involved 27-year-old Dustin Jackson had left the home and was walking south on M Street.
Officers located Jackson and he was detained.
The woman told police she had gone to IGA and when she returned Jackson got upset because he couldn’t find a clean spoon.
She told police Jackson grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her down on the ground several times. He also choked her.
The woman had several red marks on both her arms.
He then left the home.
Jackson told police the two had gotten into a fight and the female had hit him in the face and his groin area, and threw cereal all over him. He did admit he threw her to the ground and then took a walk.
The woman signed a battery affidavit and Jackson was arrested on charges of strangulation and domestic battery.
