MONTGOMERY – Bedford North Lawrence posted wins over Barr-Reeve and Washington during girls high school golf action on the back nine at Country Oaks on Thursday.
The No.16 Stars carded a team total of 166. The Vikings were second with 197, and the Hatchets finished with 201. BNL’s second unit totaled 209.
Chloe McFaddin paced BNL with a 2-over 38 that featured a birdie on the par-5 15th hole. Ellie Horton added a 42.
“Little bit of a rough night for us,” BNL coach Kori Johnston said. “It’s been a long week, so I think we were a little tired and our scores showed it.
“I’m very proud of Jasmine (Nguyen) and Kadynn (Canada) on their match PRs tonight (for the B squad). We have practice tomorrow and then a rare weekend off, so we’re going to get a little rest and reset before we start another big week.”
Kenley Craig, Kinleigh Root and Sammie Nusbaum all had 43s to cap the BNL scoring.
Channey Clark paced Washington with a 38 on the course that will host the IHSAA regional.
The Stars will visit New Albany on Monday.
