INDIANA – Indiana newspapers announce they will not be publishing as many print editions starting in September.
AIM Media Indiana announced it was eliminating daily print editions of The Columbus Republic, Seymour Tribune, and Greenfield Daily Reporter on September 2. Those papers will publish only on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Franklin Daily Journal will stop publishing on Mondays, but still be printed Tuesday through Saturday.
AIM Media Indiana, which is based in Columbus, also owns the Brown County Democrat, which publishes once a week.
Newspaper subscriptions will continue to have complete access to the websites and can sign up for alerts that link to new stories. The websites are updated several times a day.
AIM Indiana publisher Richard Clark said, “It is the news itself that is important, and digital delivery provides us with the speed and cost efficiencies that we need in order to continue to report on local issues.”
