BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police officers investigated an incident on July 15, 2023.
On that day, at 3:30 p.m. officers went to the Hauck House on K Street after a report the glass on the front door had been busted out.
Officers reviewed the security video of the incidents. In that video at 2:40 p.m. on that day a black male approaches the front door and attempts to open it. The male is then seen knocking on the front glass several times. Eventually the glass breaks. After the glass breaks the male exits the building.
The male was identified as 30-year-old Jordan Reed, of Bedford.
Police found Reed at the Bedford Public Library and he was requested to step outside and speak to officers. Police determined Reed was intoxicated. He admitted to drinking a pint and a half of Vodka.
Reed admitted to breaking the glass, saying he was at the Hauck House to visit a friend.
He told police he knocked on the front door and accidentally broke the glass.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for arrest on a charge of criminal mischief.
