Carl E. Adams, 87, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at White River Lodge.
Born on June 12, 1936, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Conner and Stella (Sherrill) Adams. He was raised in the home of his grandparents, George and Mable (Ramsey) Sherrill. He married Janet (Henderson) Adams on September 28, 1957, and she survives.
Carl retired from NWSC Crane where he was a machinist. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Carl enjoyed working in the garden and would do anything for anybody.
Surviving Carl is his wife, Janet; two sons, Brent (Tammy) Adams and Allen Adams; two granddaughters, Amber Adams and April Adams; and one brother-in-law, George Brinegar.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marcia Brinegar.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford with Pastor Jarrod Jacobs officiating.
