INDIANAPOLIS – Secretary of State Diego Morales recognizes State Senator Jon Ford’s service. Senator Ford announced earlier today he will be resigning from his position.
Sen. Ford has served on several committees including Public Policy and Appropriations. He has worked closely with the Secretary of State’s Office as he served as Chair of the Senate Election Committee.
The Secretary of State’s Office appreciates Sen. Ford’s support in elections by sponsoring important bills, such as Senate Enrolled Act 106 and House Enrolled Act 1336, which passed with a bipartisan vote in the last legislative session.
Secretary Morales thanks Sen. Ford for his willingness to work with everyone involved to make sure our state passed impactful election legislation.
“I commend State Senator Jon Ford for his commitment and dedication to the Hoosier state. Since I took office, it’s been a pleasure working alongside Sen. Ford as the Chairman of the Senate Election Committee. He was always passionate about his service and had Hoosiers’ best interests in mind,” said Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.
Sen. Ford has stated his last day in the Indiana Senate will be October 16. He has been in the State Senate since 2014.
