SHOALS – The Shoals Public Library has received a $500,000 grant to make improvements.
The grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs will be used to renovate and expand the century-old building.
The goal is to modernize its facility, said Library Director Sylvia Albaugh adding an additional 1600 square feet to the facility, expanded the children’s center, an elevator, and a handicap entrance.
The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
