BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s J.D. Miskuf recorded a hat trick as the Stars conquered Bloomfield 5-0 during boys high school soccer action on Saturday.
Miskuf broke open a tight contest with two goals late in the second half as the Stars (6-6-1) ended a two-game losing streak while getting some injured starters back on the pitch.
“We were working them back in and trying to get our touch back,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “That is the biggest takeaway from this game, and elements we need to work on for these last two conference games and the sectional – better first touch and crisper passes.”
Miskuf got the Stars on the board at 33:02 in the first half off a J.D. Russell assist, and Adriano Sullivan came back from a brief injury absence with a goal at 8:42.
In the second half, Miskuf added a key insurance goal with 13:03 left, then converted a header off a Sullivan corner kick at 4:20. Grant Beyers added the final goal on a penalty kick at 2:19.
BNL had a huge 20-1 advantage in shots.
The Stars will visit Seymour on Thursday.
