SEYMOUR – Seymour scored four goals in the first half while cruising to a 6-1 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during boys high school soccer action on Thursday.
The Owls celebrated Senior Night with a fast start. Martin Sebastian scored in the second minute of the match, and Seymour later added goals by Myles Chandler (32nd minute), Kayden Cox (36th minute) and Logan Westfall (39th minute) for the big lead at intermission.
“Nothing went right in the first half,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “We couldn’t possess the ball at all. In the second half we had some more intensity, possessed the ball a little better.”
BNL got on the board with a Grant Beyers goal off J.D. Miskuf’s corner kick. The Owls added late scores from Sebastian (76th minute) and David Polbito (77th minute). Polbito also finished with two assists.
“Our goal was very nice,” Otis said. “It was a good example of when we move off the ball, good things happen.”
BNL 6-7-1 (1-4-0 HHC) will finish the regular season on Saturday, hosting against Floyd Central.
