Monroe County Community Schools named Indiana Adult Education Program of Excellence

INDIANA – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development recently named 17 Indiana Adult Education providers as the inaugural Indiana Adult Education Programs of Excellence including Monroe County Community Schools.

DWD created the Programs of Excellence award this year to recognize adult education programs that exceed state goals and expectations across multiple performance metrics. All recipients serve as model providers of adult education services in Indiana.

Richard Paulk

“Indiana continues to excel as a state due to the hard work, dedication, and innovative practices being implemented by adult education leaders and providers in Hoosier communities every day,” said DWD Commissioner Richard Paulk. “The providers receiving this designation have done exceptional work in supporting adult learners as they achieve their goals, improve their educational and economic opportunities, and better their lives, families, and communities.”

For the past five years, Indiana has led all 50 states in the percentage of students achieving outcomes and is a national leader in high school equivalencies earned integrated education and career training, and employer partnerships.
