PAOLI – The Paoli Police Department has released the 2023 year-end numbers of their canine officers.
Sgt. Christ Cook and canine Kilo and Officers Zach Cook and his canine partner Riggs had more than 60 narcotic deployments.
The dogs helped officers locate and remove approximately:
- 220 grams of meth
- 514 grams of marijuana
- 1 gram of cocaine
- 20 items of paraphernalia
- 1 syringe
These deployments were throughout Orange and Lawrence County.
Chief Randy Sanders is thankful for and gives praise to these four-legged officers.
“We are always thankful for these four-legged officers and their relentless dedication to helping us keep our community safer and drugs off of the streets,” he said in a post. “These numbers do not include the times the canines were deployed to assist with tracking incidents.”
