Jasper man tests more than four times over the legal limit

JASPER – A Jasper man was arrested after police stopped him after a complaint of a reckless driver and found he had a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit.

On Thursday, police stopped 42-year-old Derek Foster.

Police say Foster was taken to Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.34 percent. The legal limit in Indiana is 0.08 percent.

He was detained on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI with a blood alcohol level over 0.15 percent, and OWI endangerment and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
