PETERSBURG – Pike Central took advantage of four forfeits to edge Bedford North Lawrence 36-27 during high school wrestling action on Tuesday night.
The Stars won five of the seven contested matches, including four pins, on the mat.
BNL’s Wyatt Philpott trapped Jacob Harker in 12 seconds at 113 pounds, Jorj Filler stopped Noah Miller in 1:53 at 126, Ethan Stancombe downed Jayden Bolin in 3:23 at 165, and Tate Tanksley conquered Aaron Johnson in 3:40 at 190.
The Stars also won at 285 as Junior Arellano defeated Hayden Goins by a 5-1 decision.
BNL will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet at Seymour on Saturday.
