Mary E. DeVore was born June 14, 1935, to Glenn and Gertie Roberts in Bedford. Mary was the youngest of three siblings.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of Mitchell High School. After school. Mary began working at Traveler’s in Orleans. Shortly afterward, Mary met Robert DeVore. They became married on January 14, 1956. On August 4, 1960. Mary gave birth to their only child, Pamela (Pam). After raising their daughter, Mary worked for Appleacres.
On December 29, 1985, Mary became a grandmother to her only grandchild, Robert (Rob) German. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting their needs before hers. Mary was a devout Christian and attended Springville United Methodist Church and River’s Edge Christian Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Pam (Larry) Reed of Bedford, Rob (Tiffany) German of Bedford, brother, Bill Roberts of Indianapolis, and great-grandchildren Waylon German and Reagan German she deeply adored,
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Glann and Gertie Roberts, and her sister, Betty Davis, and her husband, Robert DeVore.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mitchell Manor and the staff of her hospice care team for her care.
Per Mary’s request, there will be no funeral services. She will be laid to rest in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
