BEDFORD – Bedford Fire Department firefighters responded to an attic fire in the 500 block of J Street on Wednesday around 10:15 p.m.
Firefighters from all three stations responded. When they arrived, they found smoke from the attic area but no flames.
Ambulance crews from IU Lifeline Ambulance checked on the home’s occupants but no one suffered any injuries.
Firefighters used ladders to access the attic. Firefighters removed several layers of insulation from the residence.
The fire rekindled on Thursday.
