JEFFERSONVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence finished fifth in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet during boys high school swimming action on Saturday.
The Stars totaled 134 points. Columbus East won its first conference title in 42 years, ending Floyd Central’s recent dynasty, with 319 points.
BNL’s top finishers included Garrett Gabhart (fourth in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 :07.62, and fourth in the 100 backstroke in 56.39), and the 200 freestyle relay of Jayden Duke, Oliver Brown, Isaiah Eicle and Gabhart (fourth in 1:38.03).
BNL’s girls team will compete in the IHSAA sectional at Jasper on Feb. 3.
