BEDFORD – Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Bob Cline sentenced a Mitchell woman Thursday to 12 years in the Indiana Department of Correction.
Angela Bridgewater, 42, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony, as a part of a negotiated plea agreement. Charges of dealing meth over ten grams and unlawful possession of a syringe were dropped.
The plea agreement, negotiated by Prosecutor Sam Arp II, offered Bridgewater 12 years in the Indiana Department of Correction with 10 years executed and the remaining two years served on supervised probation.
Bridgewater was arrested on May 3, 2023, after Mitchell and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department officers served a search warrant at 205 South 5th Street at the “Heartbreak” rooming house.
During the search of the room, police seized 28 grams of meth, pills, used syringes, and other items involved in the sale and distribution of drugs.
