BLOOMINGTON – The body of a 37-year-old woman was found in a ditch on Bloomington’s southside Sunday.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of Walnut Street at 3:20 p.m. after dispatch received a 911 call from a motorist who reported he thought he saw a body in some brush off the west side of the road.
When officers arrived, they found the body of the transient woman in the ditch in a patch of brush.
Walnut Street was closed for several hours while police conducted an investigation.
