BEDFORD – On January 16, 2024, Lawrence County Central Dispatch received a report of theft at Arkup, LLC, at 1771 US Highway 50 East.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Tillett responded to the scene and spoke to the production manager. He reported that 35-year-old Jarrod Feathers was an employee and was recently fired from making unapproved personal purchases with their company bank account.
At the time of Feather’s termination, he requested that the company not file criminal charges and that he would pay back the company for the unapproved purchases. However, Feathers failed to do that. The unapproved purchases totaled $3,216.21.
Feathers told his employer he had accidentally used the company credit card instead of his own when making the purchases.
When police spoke to Feathers, he had no explanation. He did state he would pay the company back.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, and a warrant was issued for Feathers’ arrest on a theft charge.
