VINCENNES – The date has been changed for Knox and Daviess County Severe Storm Spotter Training.
The training has been rescheduled from February 29th to Monday, March 25th. It will be held at the Vincennes University Technology Center, 1300 North Chestnut Street.
The Knox County Emergency Management Agency will host the session.
The training session, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., will be conducted by the National Weather Service Indianapolis Office and is free to attend.
No registration is required.
Those attending will learn about severe weather safety and basic storm spotting operations.
Topics presented include basic radar understanding, identifying severe weather cloud features, spotter location, and reporting criteria.
