BEDFORD – The Lawrence County 4-H Rabbit Club held its 13th Annual Open/Youth Show on March 8-9. The event was held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in the expo hall.
The two-day event brought in exhibitors from seven states. There were 11 different shows, including three specialty shows: a Rare Breed, Mini Lop, and a Mini Rex specialty. Over 1,400 entries were received.
Judge Tom Berger hosted a showmanship clinic for the youth exhibitors.
More than a dozen Lawrence County 4-H Club members participated in the event. Here are a few of the winners.
Heaven Cooper’s Flemish Giant doe and buck won Best of Breed and Best Opposite Breed in Friday’s show.
Kruz and Ryder Cooper took Best of Breed in two shows each Saturday with their Flemish giant doe.
Jocelyn William showed her American chinchilla and took best of breed in two shows and best opposite in a show.
Isabelle Barker received two Best of Breeds awards for her Jersey Wooly rabbits and two Best of Breeds awards for her Rhinelanders.
The club had over 12 members participate
