LAWRENCE COUNTY—The first annual NLCS Health & Wellness Event is almost here. It will be held at Parkview Intermediate on Tuesday, March 19th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
We have over 30 community agencies and our very own RNs and SECs committed to sharing valuable health information and resources with NLCS students and families. The IU School of Nursing will also provide free health screenings and coaching to adults aged 18 and older.
The North Lawrence Career Center health science students will take vitals, and the early childhood education students will hand out bicycle helmets. Healthy food, provided by Chartwells, will include assorted sandwiches, fruit and veggie cups, and black bean brownies.
Many community agencies will hand out swag items like bicycle helmets and first aid kits. There will also be amazing prizes, including jewelry from Jay Howard Jewelry valued at $200, a Tempur-Pedic pillow, and gift cards.
