Canda Kay Hillenburg, 62, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her daughter’s residence.
Born September 27, 1960, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Janice (Benson) Grubb. She married Garries D. Hillenburg on March 6, 1976, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2019.
Canda was a homemaker for most of her life and later worked in the cafeteria at NSWC-Crane. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. Canda was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include her children, Lisha Hillenburg, Travis Hillenburg, Brandon Hillenburg, and Crystal (Robert) Whitham; several grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and siblings, Stevie Grubb and Tammy Bush.
Her husband, parents, children, Garries “Spud” Hillenburg and Kenneth Dwight Hillenburg-Adcok, and siblings, Tony Grubb, Bobby Grubb, and Paula Adcok, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, at Mitchell Cemetery, with Jim Bush officiating.
