JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors is scheduled to reduce US 50 to one lane just east of Seymour on or after Tuesday, March 26, to complete right-of-way clearing and utility relocation work in Jackson County.
Crews will reduce US 50 to one lane between North County Road 1225 East and North County Road 1250 East and utilize flagging operations to conduct the lane closure while work is in progress. Weather permitting, clearing, and utility work will be completed by early April.
This work is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Milestone in January 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
