SEYMOUR – On Monday, March 25, firefighters responded to a house fire on State Road 11 near County Road 300 North.
While en route, responding personnel noted that heavy smoke and flames were visible from nearly two miles away.
Upon arrival, first responders encountered a well-established fire that was rapidly spreading. One of the homeowners was already out of the dwelling, and the other was not home.
Firefighters from numerous local departments came together and ultimately extinguished the fire. The cause is believed to be an unattended heat lamp which caught fire.
