The Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) is preparing an updated multimodal Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). This plan will cover the City of Bloomington, the Town of Ellettsville, and urbanized portions of Monroe County, Indiana. The MTP will identify recommended improvements to the region’s transportation system through 2050. The plan will consider roadways, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian walkways, and freight needs.
