BEDFORD—Clean Sweep in Bedford is a time when the city picks up discarded items that generally might not be picked up. Old tires, appliances, construction materials, and carpet are some of the things they will allow to be disposed of.
Extra household trash may also be picked up but must be in a separate pile from the items listed above.
You can call anytime from April 19 through April 29 to get a work order in to have things picked up but keep in mind it may take longer due to the amount of work orders that come in during clean sweep.
