LAFAYETTE – Monday evening, nine dedicated troopers from the Indiana State Police Lafayette District were honored with the prestigious Tippecanoe County Top Cop Award from Drive Sober of Lafayette.
These troopers have exhibited an unwavering commitment to removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways, thereby ensuring the safety of Hoosiers.
The following troopers were recognized for their outstanding efforts:
- Trooper Mitchell McKinney (78 arrests)
- Trooper Garrett Schroder (44 arrests)
- Trooper Brandon Howell (42 arrests)
- Trooper Chelsey Smith (31 arrests)
- Trooper Francisco Miramontes (30 arrests)
– Trooper Thad Decker (27 arrests)
– Trooper Ben Fike (26 arrests)
– Trooper Mason Wiley (24 arrests)
– Trooper Austin Thomen (22 arrests)
Together, troopers from the Lafayette Post contributed to 412 OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) arrests, reflecting their dedication to keeping our roads safe.
