NORTH VERNON – Both Bedford North Lawrence teams finished third in the Big Blue Relays at Jennings County during high school track action on Thursday.
The Stars totaled 49.5 points in the girls meet. Seymour won that title with 74.5, Jennings County finished with 72, and Brownstown scored 47. In the boys meet, Brownstown totaled 75, followed by Jennings (70), BNL (50) and Madison (42).
Winners for BNL included Frank Decker in the pole vault (13-3), Braydon Patterson (6-2 in the high jump), the boys 400 relay (49.76), the girls 400 relay (1:03.95), and the girls 3200 relay (10:53.41).
BNL’s girls will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet on Tuesday at New Albany, while the boys will compete in the HHC at Jeffersonville on Thursday.
